FANGS UP!!!!!

Okay, so Cobra Starship was on Saturday and OH MY GOD IT WAS AMAZING!! I was so excited to see them it was beyond anything; then they came on stage and I kind of thought I was going to explode. For a while there it felt like I had some redux form of Beatlemania because all Gabe had to do was breathe and I was screaming. Never in my entire life have I felt more like a squeeing fangirl sixteen year old. Not even when I was fifteen :) 3oh3! surprisingly didn't make me want to pull my hair out as I had expected. They're pretty catchy, and the lead singer is certainly not hard on the eyes so there was always that.

Unfortunately the club where the concert was held had a drag night to get to right after the concert so everyone was rushed out. The bands were on their buses in what seemed like ten seconds flat and we were told by a very large bodyguard that they wouldn't be making an appearance for a very long time, if at all. I was epically disappointed that I didn't get to meet Gabe or any of the other band members but they come back here fairly frequently so there's that :)

So now it's time for videos and pictures!!!! Aren't you excited?

Here's Gabe Saporta!

And again!

Here's the video I took of Wet Hot American Summer. The one problem I have taking videos at concerts is that I have a hard time remembering that it's really not a good idea to dance and sing and film at the same time so it's pretty bumpy. Also, ignore my friends and I singing at the top of our lungs and fawning over Gabe Saporta :)

Also, a lesson learned over the weekend is that a father of a friend with a desire to buy his daughter a veeeeerrrrry early birthday present and said friend reaaaallllly loving you gets you tickets to Lady Gaga! No trying to win them for me, they're already in my hot little hands!

Now for the horrid part of this blog. When I woke up this morning and looked out the window, what did I see on May 24th? SNOW!!! Did you read that correctly? SNOW!!!! IN MAY!!!! Seriously, anyone who doesn't believe in global warming need only look to Utah because it was snowing this morning and I drove through a fog bank to get to work.... at noon. Usually I'm okay with our weather once April hits but this year has just been completely nuts.

Of Concerts and Crazies

Okay, before anyone gets their panties in a twist, the aforementioned crazy is me; at least in this post. I do know and love plenty of crazies. But anyway, why am I crazy? Well, that would be because I let a cartoon dictate my lunch choices today. What? They talked about tacos on the Simpsons last night and it sounded really good!

Why else am I crazy? Well, this all needs to start out with the fact that Lady Gaga is coming here March of 2011, and the tickets go on sale this Saturday. I repeat, she's coming in almost a year, and the tickets go on sale this Saturday. Needless to say I don't even want to look at ticket prices for this concert, because I know I'll never be able to afford them. So this leaves the option of trying very hard to win tickets, and here's where the crazy comes in. Namely in the fact that I sort of forgot to shift into fifth getting on the freeway yesterday because I was too busy trying to win tickets. I'm so very glad I don't have to explain that to a mechanic :)

In other concert news, Something Corporate is coming for a concert in August. SOMETHING CORPORATE PEOPLE! I fell in love with them right as they broke up and Andrew McMahon formed Jack's Mannequin so I never got to see them in concert. Though I've been lucky enough to have seen Jack's three times and to have met the incomparable Andrew McMahon twice, I have always wanted to see Something Corporate live; and now it looks like I may get a chance to see them. It would be completely awesome.

Also...... COBRA STARSHIP IS TOMORROW!!!! I'm so beyond excited. The first time I saw them I wasn't into them yet, and I got within three feet of Gabe Saporta without having any idea of how amazing he was. This time I am bound and freaking determined to meet the band, and most particularly Gabe; as are my friends. If I can pull this off it will be completely amazing. I say completely a lot don't I? Oh well, it would indeed be COMPLETELY amazing.

In other news, today the random music blasting from my car while the windows were rolled down was the Hairspray Motion Picture Cast Recording. This one is admittedly less obscure, mostly thanks to the delectable Zac Efron and also Jon Travolta (despite the fact that their parts were originated by the equally as delectable Matthew Morrison and Harvey Firestein respectively, on Broadway) Still, I kept looking around me to see if anyone was giving me a strange look as I sang along to a song about crabs at the top of my lungs. No staring, shockingly enough, but then I did turn it down when I went through the Taco Bell drive thru :)
